Preparation of the Guy Roy exhibition in Edmonton

Here are some of the many steps involved in preparing for an exhibition at West End Gallery. Guy Roy spent several months painting the paintings presented during this exhibition. The paintings traveled more than 3800 km from Thetford Mines in Quebec to Edmonton in Alberta.

Once the paintings have been received at the gallery, they are unpacked, inventoried and photographed.

The photographs are then edited and posted on the gallery's website and used to publicize the event in the Edmonton Journal. The paintings are finally installed a few days before the opening of the exhibition.

As you will see, this exhibition represents a lot of work, but also a lot of pride.

Do not hesitate to give us your comments.
